Why do I need Pet Insurance?

Like us dogs and cats get ill and have accidents; for example your pet could become ill through something it has eaten, injured in an attack by another animal or contract a range of illnesses. Statistics show that in most cases dogs and cats need treatment at least once a year; unfortunately vet fees can cost a lot of money and they are rising all the time.

That's where pet insurance comes in; pet insurance gives you the peace of mind that you will be able to afford the best treatment for your pet if he or she becomes sick.

But there is another very important reason to get pet insurance. If your pet runs out into the road and causes an accident you will be liable for paying compensation to the injured parties. This could run into hundreds of thousands of pounds, possibly millions. Pet insurance carries with it public liability cover so that you are protected from such claims.
